ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Latvia, a member of the distinguished Inspired Education Group, is on the lookout for an outstanding Physical Education (PE) Teacher to commence in the 2026–2027 academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide exceptional teaching throughout the curriculum while playing a key role in the advancement of the PE program and advocating for health, fitness, and well-being within the school community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver dynamic and high-caliber PE lessons across all educational stages, ensuring students reach their potential in both physical and personal development.


Encourage teamwork, resilience, and healthy living through well-structured sports and fitness initiatives.


Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, offering timely feedback and personalized support.


Play a significant role in the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum, extra-curricular activities, and school sports events.


Motivate student involvement in school teams, competitions, and recreational sporting opportunities.


Work alongside colleagues to embed physical activity within the wider educational framework, promoting overall well-being throughout the school.


Employ digital tools and platforms to elevate teaching, assessment, and student engagement.


Engage with the wider school community by supporting events, workshops, and initiatives aimed at parent involvement.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).


Demonstrated experience in teaching PE to various age groups, preferably including international or IB curricula.


Strong subject knowledge and a fervent desire to inspire students in developing their physical abilities, fitness, and overall well-being.


A dedication to fostering teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles in students.


Proficiency in incorporating technology and contemporary fitness tools into lessons to craft interactive and engaging educational experiences.


A team-oriented mindset, with an eagerness to contribute to the school’s ethos of innovation, excellence, and student well-being.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
