Classroom teacher / Grade leader

Position Details

• Role: Classroom Teacher with additional responsibilities as grade level leader

• Phase: Primary School

• Curriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), integrated with English National Curriculum objectives throughout the school

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to the diverse needs of all learners

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment

• Utilize assessment effectively to promote progress and enhance achievement in core subjects

• Lead grade-level planning and coordination to ensure consistent curriculum delivery, assessment practices, and alignment with school expectations.

• Mentor and support grade-level teachers through collaboration and monitoring of student progress to elevate standards and encourage best practices.

• Facilitate students’ academic, social, and emotional growth in accordance with IB PYP principles

• Collaborate with colleagues to continually enhance teaching and learning experiences

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field

• At least 3 years of teaching experience at the elementary/primary level

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience as a grade leader

• Strong classroom management abilities

• Demonstrated capability to accelerate student learning

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

• Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme

• Experience with the English National Curriculum
