We are seeking a highly qualified and skilled Portuguese Homeroom Teacher to join our team in August 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Deliver captivating and effective instruction in accordance with the Portuguese primary curriculum and national educational standards.

• Design and implement engaging lessons that cater to the varied academic and developmental needs of students.

• Assume responsibility for the homeroom class, fostering students’ academic growth, well-being, and personal development.

• Track student progress through both formative and summative assessments, upholding elevated academic expectations.

• Provide pastoral care and collaborate closely with the school's well-being and support teams.

• Promote student involvement in co-curricular activities, projects, and enrichment initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in school-wide improvement efforts.

• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere with high standards for behavior and learning.

• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange best practices and support professional growth objectives.

• Maintain regular and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

• Stay informed about educational advancements and engage in continuous professional learning.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant degree in Education (Portuguese Primary Education) along with a recognized teaching qualification.

• Experience in primary education, preferably within an international or bilingual school setting.

• A solid grasp of the Portuguese curriculum and effective homeroom practices.

• The ability to inspire and engage young learners, facilitating both academic and personal development.

• Proficiency in differentiating instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

• Experience utilizing technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development.

• A thorough understanding of safeguarding and student welfare principles.

Compensation
