About This Role

Doha Academy is an expanding network of British-curriculum schools located in the dynamic and multicultural capital of Qatar, Doha. As part of the Al Faleh Educational Holding Group, our mission is to deliver exceptional, inclusive K-12 education rooted in Islamic principles.

All schools within Doha Academy hold both national and international accreditations and are currently preparing for the next phase of the improvement cycle with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (“NEASC”) as part of their “ACE Learning” initiative.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated EAL Specialist & Literacy Lead to teach Primary & Secondary English at our main campus in Al Waab. This role will involve a significant amount of time dedicated to designing a literacy development program aimed at assisting students whose primary language is Arabic. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide support to fellow educators in enhancing their English as a Second Language methodologies across the school’s curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have a background teaching English for Key Stages 3, 4, or 5 in an international school environment where English is not the primary language. Experience in TEFL-type settings would also be beneficial.

This role begins on August 25th and is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
