About This Role
Key Responsibilities
•
Create and deliver engaging, customized Science lessons for KS3 students, with opportunities to instruct in IGCSE Science.
•
Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that stimulates student curiosity and scientific inquiry.
•
Employ both formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide targeted feedback.
•
Collaborate with the Science department to develop curriculum resources and share effective teaching practices.
•
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional growth opportunities.
•
Take part in the school’s extracurricular activities, including Science clubs, competitions, or STEM-related projects.
Requirements
•
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferable).
•
A recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
•
Proven experience teaching Science within the British curriculum, particularly at the KS3 and IGCSE levels.
•
Familiarity with IGCSE Science syllabi (e.g., Cambridge or Edexcel).
•
Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
•
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in a multicultural environment.
•
Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovative teaching techniques.
