Location: Central Office, Melton Mowbray (with regular travel to Trust schools)

Salary: £35,451 - £39,165 FTE

Hours: 37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year

Contract: Permanent

Mowbray Education Trust is seeking an exceptional Trust Attendance & Belonging Lead to drive improvement in pupil attendance across our family of schools. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our mission to ensure every child feels safe, supported and able to thrive.

Working closely with the CEO, Trust and school leaders, families and external agencies, you will lead targeted interventions, remove barriers to attendance and help build a culture where every pupil feels they belong. Your work will directly influence life chances, making this a role with real purpose and visible impact.

About the Role

As our Trust Attendance & Belonging Lead, you will:

Lead proactive attendance improvement strategies across the Trust

Work directly with pupils and families to understand barriers and co-design solutions

Build strong relationships with school leaders, pastoral teams and external partners

Use data intelligently to identify trends, manage caseloads and inform strategic action

Carry out home visits, meetings and multi-agency work to secure positive outcomes

Support schools with statutory responsibilities, including legal processes where required

Produce high-quality reports for Trust leaders and Trustees

Contribute to Trust-wide professional development and the sharing of best practice

Champion our values and help shape a culture of inclusion, belonging and high expectations

This is a varied, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be part of a supportive central team committed to evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in pastoral, attendance or family-support roles with demonstrable impact

Understands the social, emotional and practical barriers that affect attendance

Can build trust with families and communicate with clarity, empathy and authority

Is confident working with external agencies and navigating safeguarding processes

Uses data effectively to drive decisions and measure impact

Is resilient, solution-focused and able to manage a demanding caseload

Brings energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for improving children’s lives

You will be a key ambassador for the Trust, modelling our values and helping ensure every child is known, valued and supported.
