King’s College School in Latvia, a distinguished member of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking a remarkable Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This position offers an exciting chance to deliver exceptional teaching at the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level, while actively participating in curriculum development and fostering innovation within the Mathematics Department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver engaging and high-quality Mathematics instruction at the IB Diploma Programme level, ensuring that students achieve their academic goals.


Foster mathematical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking through creative teaching and learning strategies.


Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support when necessary.


Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing improvement of educational resources, schemes of work, and assessment methods.


Promote student participation in extracurricular activities, including mathematics clubs, competitions, and STEM programs.


Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to facilitate interdisciplinary learning experiences.


Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance the teaching and learning process.


Engage with the wider school community by taking part in events, workshops, and initiatives designed to foster parent involvement.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).


Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the IB Diploma Programme level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.


Strong subject expertise and a passion for motivating students to understand and value mathematical concepts.


A commitment to promoting critical thinking, global awareness, and intellectual curiosity.


Proficiency in using technology in the classroom to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.


A cooperative attitude, with a willingness to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation and academic excellence.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
