About This Role

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a permanent KS1/KS2 teacher with a TLR to lead maths across the school. We are a thriving primary school near the Jewellery Quarter. Brookfields Primary is 2-form entry, serving pupils in Hockley, Birmingham. You will join us as we continue our journey towards academic and personal excellence.

As Maths Lead, you will lead, and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding maths curriculum, which enables the highest level of student progress and attainment in maths.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to work alongside Trust and external maths specialists, engage with current educational research and contribute to the development of mathematics across the wider Trust.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the quality of Mathematics across the school, ensuring that strong foundations are established from the earliest years and built upon throughout each stage of a child's learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers to develop and refine the Maths curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and the school's educational goals.

Provide guidance and training to teachers on best practices in Maths teaching.

Observe classroom instruction, provide feedback to teachers, and conduct regular evaluations of Maths teaching and learning outcomes, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.

Communicating with parents and caregivers about Maths curriculum, student progress, and ways to support literacy development at home, fostering positive partnerships between home and school.

Collaborating with SENCO to ensure that Maths teaching meets the needs of students with diverse learning abilities, providing tailored support and accommodations as needed.

Promote integration of Maths language and skills across the curriculum, working with colleagues in other subject areas to reinforce skills in various contexts.

Compensation

£32,916.00 - £51,048.00 Annually (FTE) Plus TLR 2 (£3,527)
