About This Role
The Pennington Centre, an inclusive alternative provision, is looking to appoint a flexible and resilient Teacher of Maths and Science to join our small, supportive team. Our students present with a range of diverse and complex needs, requiring innovative, therapeutic methods that align with the national core curriculum and aim for GCSE success.
We are seeking a qualified specialist in Maths or Science who is confident and eager to teach both subjects at the KS3 and KS4 levels. We want someone who can truly bring both disciplines to life. While you may have more experience in one subject, a genuine enthusiasm for both is essential. At the Pennington Centre, the ability to establish trust, maintain consistency, and recognize the individual behind the behavior is just as crucial as your subject expertise. Many of our students have faced educational challenges or trauma, and you will be the educator who helps them regain their self-belief—this begins with sincere, caring relationships and a readiness to approach each day with a fresh perspective.
