About This Role

Arcadia Global School Al Furjan is looking to hire a skilled **IT Assistant** to commence in July 2025. The successful applicant will possess a strong foundation in Windows operating systems, along with experience in networking hardware and software. This individual will be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to both systems and networks.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support and helpdesk environments
- Proficient understanding of Office 365 suites (O365) and Windows Operating systems
- Familiarity with networking equipment and software, including routers, switches, and wireless controllers
- Solid working knowledge of audio-visual editing tools and software
- Excellent computer skills and problem-solving abilities
- Creativity, attention to detail, and adaptability
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- A comprehensive understanding of how to ensure all school IT systems function effectively to support learning and daily operations

**Core Responsibilities and Expectations**

- Provide technical support to all staff and students regarding Classroom Smartboards, projectors, printers, phones, laptops, iPads, and other peripheral devices, as well as AV support for staff.
- Assist with office relocations, including cabling and the movement of IT equipment.
- Oversee the telephone system: create new user accounts, maintain and distribute telephone directories, and troubleshoot any issues.
- Diagnose and resolve system and network-related problems.
- Operate and maintain audio-visual equipment for amplifying, recording, and displaying sound and images at live events.
- Ensure the maintenance and operation of all school audio-visual lighting equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the IT Engineer to plan and address AV requirements for school events.
- Attend rehearsals and performances to guarantee the seamless operation of AV equipment.
- Investigate and resolve technical challenges with the school's computers and software while prioritizing, tracking, and documenting requests and system changes.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance and upgrades to AGS computer hardware and software, ensuring optimal availability and efficiency for all users.
- Keep a record of all IT purchase delivery notes and invoices.
- Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks as assigned by the IT Engineer.
- Efficiently manage student BYOD devices through an MDM solution.
- Maintain and update the database of staff and students on applications used by the school.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for all staff and student access to the school's managed applications.
- Regularly maintain IT equipment and update the IT asset inventory.
- Repair equipment as needed, including computers and laptops.
- Safeguard IT assets in the office and manage standby IT equipment, including mobile phones, through proper storage and record-keeping.
- Install applications and software maintenance (MS Office, Outlook, and other office applications as requested and with approval).
- Consistently demonstrate, model, and promote the AGS Values.
