ADNOC Schools is on the lookout for exceptional Elementary Classroom Teachers for the upcoming school year starting in August 2025. The current opening is located at ADNOC School, Madinat Zayed in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This curriculum is recognized as one of the most effective in the United States, with strong connections to prestigious higher education institutions such as Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Students graduating from ADNOC Schools receive the American High School Diploma, an essential qualification for admission to colleges and universities in the U.S.

Responsibilities:
• Foster an engaging learning environment that promotes outstanding educational practices
• Establish clear teaching and learning objectives
• Design tasks that challenge students while maintaining high levels of interest
• Set appropriate and ambitious expectations
• Define clear targets that build upon prior knowledge
• Identify students with special educational needs or those who are exceptionally able, ensuring their needs are met through differentiated instruction
• Structure lessons effectively to maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilize assessment for learning effectively
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction
• Uphold discipline in accordance with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ while encouraging punctuality, positive behavior, work standards, and homework completion
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies to:
i. Align the approach with content, organize information, present key ideas, and use appropriate vocabulary
ii. Implement effective questioning techniques, actively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Select suitable learning resources and cultivate study skills through the library, ICT, and other learning technologies
• Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and utilize this information to enhance specific teaching aspects
• Grade students' work at least bi-weekly and set targets for improvement
• Use performance data to inform lesson planning, ensuring that learning and teaching consistently add value
• Systematically assess and record student progress, keeping thorough records to monitor understanding, strengths, areas needing development, and inform future planning
• Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies and adhere to departmental and school protocols
• Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents
• Engage in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Stay current with subject knowledge through continuous professional development and professional reading
• Attend relevant professional development workshops
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal as necessary.

You must be a fully qualified teacher with:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, plus a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in the relevant area
• A strong passion for teaching and commitment to the holistic education of students
• Recent and ongoing involvement in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to work
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
