About the role

Winston Way Academy is seeking to
appoint an exceptional Vice Principal (Teaching, Learning & Curriculum) to
join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious,
values‑driven
leader who is passionate about driving excellence in teaching, learning, and
curriculum design and improving outcomes for all pupils.

Working closely with the
Principal and Vice Principal for Inclusion, you will lead the strategic
development of high‑quality pedagogy, curriculum coherence, assessment, and
professional learning across the academy. You will play a central role in
shaping a culture of high expectations, intellectual curiosity, and continuous
improvement, ensuring that every child benefits from an ambitious and inclusive
curriculum.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic
    leadership for Teaching, Learning and Curriculum across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Champion consistently
    excellent teaching through coaching, professional development and robust
    quality assurance
  • Lead curriculum design,
    review and assessment to ensure clarity, progression and academic ambition
  • Embed oracy, literacy and
    numeracy across the curriculum
  • Drive the effective use of
    data to secure strong progress and outcomes for all pupils
  • Support and develop senior
    and middle leaders through line management and appraisal
  • Promote effective use of educational
    technology in line with United Learning’s Digital Strategy
  • Contribute fully to whole‑school
    leadership, operational management and safeguarding
  • Deputise for the Principal
    when required
