About This Role

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

- A valid Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or the eligibility to obtain teacher certification in Manitoba.
- A music major/minor or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), along with significant experience in choral music programs.
- Proficiency in playing the piano is essential, and knowledge of additional instruments is advantageous.
- A high level of energy and a dedication to enhancing our outstanding choral program.
- Proven teaching experience in a junior/senior high environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators and music professionals within the R.D. Parker music team.
- Capability to conduct classes beyond standard school hours.
- Experience teaching I.D.E.A.L. students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in differentiating instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all students.
- Awareness and appreciation for the traditions and goals of students from various backgrounds and abilities.
- A commitment to culturally responsive education.
- Willingness to co-plan and accompany students to annual festivals and senior music tours.

Compensation includes one of the most competitive salary packages in the province, with pay rates determined by the existing collective agreement with the Manitoba Teacher's Society. A relocation allowance of $4,000.00 may be available upon submission of receipts, in accordance with Administrative Procedures 2.A.040, which can be found on the School District of Mystery Lake's website.
