ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Berens River School serves students from Nursery to Grade 9, with an enrollment of around 400 learners. Located on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, Berens River is home to approximately 3,546 residents and is situated a 4-hour drive north of Winnipeg. This picturesque lakeside town features essential community services, including a general store, Northern store, and a community hall. The surrounding area is a recreational haven, offering a range of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and canoeing.

WHAT YOU BRING
• A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).
• A solid understanding of the provincial curricula.
• Previous experience teaching Music, including singing and various instruments.
• Proficiency with school-based technology.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Familiarity with Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset).
• Experience in a northern community (considered an asset).
