Big River First Nation Education is on the lookout for an ELA Catalyst to become a part of the education team for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere for students
- Offer professional development sessions for educators
- Assist in the coordination and execution of educational initiatives
- Support students with lesson planning, co-teaching, and mentoring
- Deliver an effective literacy program by implementing the most effective methods for teaching reading and writing
- Adjust lesson plans throughout the year as needed
- Monitor and assess students’ progress
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and excellent scheduling capabilities
- Bachelor of Education degree along with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
- Competency in teaching students with diverse abilities
- Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum
- Experience in cross-cultural environments is advantageous
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, and Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Verification of prior teaching experience is required, if applicable
