About This Role

The States of Guernsey is seeking a Team Leader (11-16) to become a part of the English Department at St Sampsons High School.

In this role, the Team Leader (TL) will assist the Principal in delivering leadership within a curriculum team, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating atmosphere for both staff and students in a safe and secure setting.

The individual in this position will take charge of the overall leadership and management of the curriculum area as well as ensure quality assurance. The Team Leader will work to cultivate a curriculum that challenges learners and positively impacts the life opportunities of young people. Collaboration with the Middle Leadership Team and other schools within the Secondary School Partnership will be essential in striving for excellence for all, providing professional support, and pursuing continuous improvement.

The Team Leader is accountable for the performance of all team members, which includes serving as the Team Leader within the school's performance management framework.

This position offers a competitive salary along with access to a pension scheme.

For those who may need to move to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a relocation package is available to assist with the costs associated with relocating to the Island. This package provides various options based on individual circumstances.

Compensation

£52,757 - £77,600 per year (£41,147 - £58,812 or £62,077 - £65,990 per annum plus Management Allowance Level 3 of £11,610 per annum)
