Job Summary
The Admissions and Recruitment Officer is instrumental in attracting, selecting, and enrolling students who align with TYIS's mission, a premier K-10 international school in Tokyo. This role integrates strategic marketing, relationship development, and data-informed recruitment efforts to achieve annual enrollment goals while maintaining the school’s commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and an inclusive community.
Responsibilities include responding to inquiries via phone, email, and forms, managing the application process, tracking payments, collaborating with teachers and principals on admissions and testing procedures, and participating in recruitment activities on and off campus in Tokyo, Japan, as well as possibly attending international recruitment fairs.
Qualifications
Required
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Over 1 year of experience in school admissions, recruitment, or educational sales/marketing.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level English (both written and spoken).
- A degree in marketing or a related business field is necessary, along with experience in sales and recruiting, strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various presentation software and technological tools is preferred.
Preferred
- Familiarity with international schools in Japan.
- Understanding of the expatriate and bilingual education landscape in Tokyo.
- Experience in data analytics (Excel, Tableau) or digital marketing (Meta Ads, SEO).
