About you:
We are in search of an energetic and inspiring Primary PE Lead to enhance the quality of physical education across EYFS and the Primary phase. This role encompasses teaching and middle leadership responsibilities, reporting to the Head of Faculty – PE & Sports, with a primary focus on delivering engaging lessons and fostering a culture of participation, wellbeing, and sporting excellence.
We seek candidates who:
• Hold a relevant degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related discipline, as well as a PGCE (or equivalent) and QTS.
• Exhibit a proven history of exceptional teaching and strong student achievements in EYFS and Primary PE.
• Show the capability to lead PE throughout early years and primary while managing an active teaching schedule.
• Aid in implementing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate PE curriculum that ensures progression, inclusion, and enjoyment for all learners.
• Contribute to a lively extracurricular program that includes fixtures, events, and competitions.
• Advocate for healthy, active lifestyles and instill a love for sports from early childhood through primary education.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, fostering a positive, high-performing team environment.
• Utilize assessment and data strategically to enhance student progress and engagement.
• Display enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to inspire young learners through sport and physical activities.
• Possess excellent communication skills and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
