Northview International School (NVIS) is on the lookout for a dedicated and student-focused Music Teacher to become a part of our expanding international team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The selected candidate will teach Music and motivate students to enhance their technical skills.

Primary responsibilities encompass:


Designing and delivering engaging Music lessons that align with the American curriculum


Instructing core musical skills, including performance and theory


Promoting student creativity through both individual and group musical activities


Incorporating technology and a variety of musical resources to encourage active learning


Evaluating and tracking student progress through formative and summative assessments


Creating an inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel both supported and challenged


Coordinating and leading school performances and musical events


Contributing to the broader school community through extracurricular activities and engagement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience


A Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related discipline


A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)


Experience in teaching Music


Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework


Ability to teach various musical skills, including instrumental and/or vocal instruction


Strong skills in classroom management and communication

Experience in an international school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
