About This Role

Aldar Academies is actively searching for an exceptional Teacher - Islamic Studies to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi starting in August 2026.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks:

• Deliver inspiring lessons that motivate students to excel and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Communicating well at all levels.
• Fostering positive relationships within the school community.
• Partnering with fellow educators to design engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards.
• Coordinating with peers while maintaining flexibility.
• Engaging with parents to promote student happiness and academic success.
• Collaborating with curriculum support staff (if applicable) to enhance children's development.

Teaching and Learning:

• Possess a solid understanding of the Curriculum.
• Organize classroom resources and learning materials, and create displays that foster a positive and engaging educational atmosphere.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that address the diverse needs of all students in the class.
• Inspire students through enthusiastic and creative teaching methods.
• Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment protocols.
• Reflect on classroom practices, lesson effectiveness, student progress, and adjust the learning environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, when necessary.
• Ensure the integration of the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA values throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:

• Take responsibility for the academic progress of the class.
• Fulfill requirements for assessment and documentation of student development utilizing Target Tracker.
• Leverage assessment data to inform future planning, resources, and interventions.
• Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:

• Adhere to the school's behavior management policy.
• Effectively manage classroom dynamics, employing strategies that cater to students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
• Build positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and take decisive action when necessary in line with the school's behavior policy.
• Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
• Set high behavioral expectations, promoting self-discipline and independence among all learners.
• Execute duties as assigned within the school's policy framework.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

• Participate in a curriculum action group, aiding in planning, assessment, resources, and special events associated with the team.
• Assist in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities that may occur on weekends or evenings.
• Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding student achievements and well-being, utilizing school systems such as CPOMS as appropriate.
• Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
• Facilitate a weekly ECA each term.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related subject, along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 2 years of teaching experience.
• Familiarity with the UK curriculum.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
