Join Our Team

Durham School for Girls Doha is on the lookout for an exceptional and dedicated Math Teacher. The primary objective of this position is to ensure that all teaching staff at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) adhere to UK Teaching Standards (TS) while aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural expectations set by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). This role includes delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and supporting both academic and personal growth. Staff are expected to exhibit professional conduct, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively engage in the school community. Additionally, they must ensure that all teaching methodologies, curriculum plans, and resources conform to DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also involves the continuous professional development of staff, compliance with school policies, and fostering student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, this position aims to cultivate a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment conducive to the growth of both students and educators.

- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum expectations and address diverse learning needs.

- Plan and execute curriculum content in alignment with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.

- Employ effective assessment methods to track student progress and tailor instruction as needed.

- Establish a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere that encourages respect and teamwork.

- Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and relevant parties regarding academic performance.

- Promote student well-being by encouraging personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships.

- Actively participate in professional development to continually improve teaching practice.

- Exemplify the school’s MARK values in all interactions and represent DSGD positively.

- Utilize school communication platforms effectively to disseminate information, resources, and updates.

- Engage in school events, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for community building.

- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies to ensure student protection.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

- Ensure all teaching materials, planning, and curriculum content reflect Qatari national values and MOE ethics.

Compensation
