Join Our Team

Durham School for Girls Doha is on the lookout for an exceptional and dedicated English Teacher. This role's primary objective is to ensure that all educators at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) adhere to the UK Teaching Standards (TS) while also aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural expectations outlined by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and encouraging both academic and personal growth. Staff members are expected to uphold professional standards, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute positively to the school community. Additionally, they must ensure that all teaching methods, curriculum plans, and resources align with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also involves supporting ongoing professional development, adhering to school policies, and enhancing student well-being alongside high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. The ultimate goal is to foster a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment that nurtures both student and educator growth.

- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that comply with curriculum standards and address diverse learning needs.

- Plan and implement curriculum content consistent with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.

- Utilize assessments effectively to track student progress and modify instruction as necessary.

- Establish a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere that encourages respect and collaboration.

- Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to facilitate learning.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and relevant stakeholders regarding academic performance.

- Promote student well-being by encouraging personal growth, resilience, and healthy relationships.

- Exemplify the school’s MARK values in all interactions and serve as a positive representative of DSGD.

Compensation
