About the Role

We seek an enthusiastic language educator capable of teaching Spanish as the primary language, alongside the ability to instruct French in lower secondary (Grades 6–8). Applicants with experience in IBDP Spanish and/or High School Diploma Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will instill a passion for languages, develop strong linguistic competencies, and provide enriching, culturally diverse learning experiences for students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to students in Grades 6–12, including both High School Diploma and/or IBDP Spanish.

• Instruct French to lower secondary learners (Grades 6–8).

• Design and implement engaging, well-organized lessons that enhance communication skills, intercultural understanding, and language proficiency.

• Establish high standards that inspire and challenge students.

• Employ effective assessment methods to monitor student progress and direct learning.

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate a variety of learners, including EAL and high-achieving students.

• Assist in curriculum development, lesson planning, and departmental resources.

• Create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere grounded in mutual respect.

• Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and well-being.

• Contribute to the broader school community through extracurricular activities and cultural initiatives.

• Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, safeguarding, and health & safety.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Languages (accompanied by a teaching qualification).

• Valid teaching certification that complies with Qatar MOEHE requirements.

• At least 3 years of experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level.

• Familiarity with High School Diploma, IB Diploma Programme, or A Level Spanish.

• Capability to teach French in lower secondary (Grades 6–8).

• Strong subject expertise and understanding of modern language teaching methodologies.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Preferred experience in an international or multicultural school setting.
