About This Role

Aldar Academies is on the lookout for a Physics Teacher to join Al Bateen Academy for the Academic Year 2023-2024.

Al Bateen Academy, situated in the heart of Abu Dhabi, is a highly sought-after institution within a dynamic community. The school is recognized for its exceptional performance as a British and IB World School (Years 7 to 13), consistently surpassing global averages for the IB Diploma and achieving remarkable I/GCSE results. Recently, the school has expanded its offerings to include primary education, beginning with FS2 to Year 3 and progressing to a comprehensive primary program from FS2 to Year 6 this year. The introduction of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) enriches the community by providing a seamless educational journey from FS1 to Year 13, with options for PYP, UK, and IB Diploma pathways.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lessons and learning experiences in accordance with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy by:
- Fostering a positive learning environment that encourages exemplary teaching practices.
- Establishing clear teaching and learning goals.
- Setting explicit targets that build on students' previous achievements.
- Recognizing and accommodating the needs of SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students through tailored differentiation.
- Delivering well-structured lessons and activities that maintain momentum, challenge students, and keep them engaged.
- Utilizing assessment effectively to support learning.
- Leveraging performance data and key indicators to tailor lesson planning and provide differentiated instruction.
- Integrating technology to enhance student learning and progress.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject area, accompanied by a PGCE or other teaching qualifications.

Minimum Experience
- Proven track record as a very good or outstanding teacher.
- Experience in teaching a diverse range of abilities with demonstrable success.
- Background in working at multiple International Schools.
- Expertise in teaching IB and I/GCSE curricula.
- Familiarity with the regulations set forth by the UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK.
