Brighton College Vietnam is looking for a Teacher of Mathematics to become part of our faculty starting August 2026.

THE DEPARTMENT
The Mathematics Department is a vibrant, supportive, and effective team. Committed to teaching Mathematics comprehensively, the department emphasizes its importance and relevance, enhances mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, and inspires students for future academic and career paths. The team fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment that embraces innovative teaching methods (mastery approaches) and resources. Each classroom is well-equipped with interactive whiteboards, teaching whiteboards, mini whiteboards, along with booklets and textbooks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Act as a representative of the College at all times, both within the institution and in the wider community of Vietnam.
•
Deliver lessons according to a designated timetable, fulfill staff duties (as assigned by SLT), and actively engage in the Co-Curricular Programme by leading at least two activities each week.
Teaching and Learning
•
Inspire every student to reach their academic potential through engaging and personalized instruction, tailored challenges, and thorough record-keeping and follow-up.
•
Comply with all College policies, including those pertaining to marking and assessment, teaching and learning, and reporting.
•
Develop and share lesson plans and resources, using the agreed formats.
•
Provide cover for colleagues when necessary.
•
Attend all required meetings and INSET sessions.
•
Prepare, supervise, and assess internal and external tests and examinations as required.
Pastoral
•
Take a genuine interest in each student's personal and domestic circumstances and promote their personal and social development.
•
Actively promote the social, moral, and cultural values of the College community.
•
Create a supportive environment by being aware of and adhering to all College policies.
•
Familiarize yourself with all College health and safety policies and proactively ensure the well-being of all members of the College community at all times.
•
Encourage exemplary conduct and a responsible attitude in all students consistently.
•
Be aware of and comply with all child safeguarding policies.
Professional Responsibilities
•
Foster a sense of pride in the College among students through behavior and dedication.
•
Respond promptly and appropriately to all communications received.
•
Contribute to the College's website, social media, and publications as needed.
•
Engage in the College’s Self Evaluation and Development Plan.
•
Establish a strong partnership with parents, reaching out in appropriate situations.
•
Complete any reasonable professional requests made by the Head of College and SLT.
