Nursery Teacher for a British Nursery in Dubai
About This Role
At Monroe's Nursery, we adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, in line with the British National curriculum. Our focus is on providing a holistic and well-structured curriculum that establishes a solid base of knowledge, skills, and understanding for children to develop upon throughout their lives.
Key Responsibilities
*Designing and producing visual aids and educational materials;
*Arranging and innovatively utilizing learning resources;
*Encouraging children's curiosity and broadening their knowledge;
*Working collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants, nursery nurses, and volunteer helpers, to plan and execute activities both indoors and outdoors;
*Observing, assessing, and recording each child's developmental milestones;
*Engaging in professional development training opportunities;
*Exchanging insights and knowledge with other practitioners and parents;
*Offering emotional support and care to children, ensuring a secure environment for learning;
*Motivating and engaging children’s learning potential, often emphasizing experiential learning;
*Ensuring the health and safety of both children and staff during all activities, whether inside or outside the nursery/school;
*Keeping up-to-date with curriculum changes and advancements in best practices;
*Assisting in the growth of children’s personal, social, and language skills;
*Supporting the development of children's foundational skills, including physical coordination, speech, and communication;
*Promoting children’s mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play.
Qualifications: A university degree in Early Childhood/Education or other relevant field, along with a certified vocational qualification in early childhood care and education (level III). Alternatively, a high school diploma paired with a certified vocational qualification in early childhood care and education (Cache Level 3) and at least two years of experience in child care or education.
