KS4 Learning Support Assistant
About This Role
Should the student leave the academy prior to 16th July 2027, you will be provided with relevant notice and your contract will end accordingly.
About You:
Caister Academy are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to work closely with an individual KS4 student who has an Education, Health and Care Plan. You will bring patience, consistency and a strong understanding of how to support young people with neurodiverse profiles or attachment/developmental trauma, helping them to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
You will be someone who can build a trusting relationship, adapt learning tasks with sensitivity, and promote independence while offering calm, structured support. Strong communication skills, reliability and a commitment to inclusion are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with the SENDCo and class teachers. Our Ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
- Proven experience working in an educational environment
- Ability to use initiative and apply sound decision-making
- High expectations of self and others
