Experience: 1 to less than 2 years

Work location: On-site only. Remote work is not an option.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in educational conferences and workshops.
• Communicate student progress and outcomes with students, parents, and school officials.
• Assess and document the academic achievements of students.
• Engage in teacher training workshops and educational conferences.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Provide tutoring support as needed.
• Oversee teaching assistants and mentor student teachers.
• Assign and assess homework.
• Create course content tailored to the needs of students.
• Address the individual learning needs of children.
• Facilitate activities that promote students' physical, mental, and social development, as well as their readiness for school.
• Design and implement remedial programs for students requiring additional help.
• Prepare subject material according to an approved curriculum for teaching.
• Develop, administer, and grade tests.
• Instruct students utilizing lessons, discussions, audio-visual resources, and field trips.

Credentials:

• Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate (mandatory)
