Responsibilities:
- Participate in educational conferences and workshops.
- Communicate student progress and outcomes with students, parents, and school officials.
- Assess and document the academic achievements of students.
- Engage in teacher training workshops and educational conferences.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Provide tutoring support as needed.
- Oversee teaching assistants and mentor student teachers.
- Assign and assess homework.
- Create course content tailored to the needs of students.
- Address the individual learning needs of children.
- Facilitate activities that promote students' physical, mental, and social development, as well as their readiness for school.
- Design and implement remedial programs for students requiring additional help.
- Prepare subject material according to an approved curriculum for teaching.
- Develop, administer, and grade tests.
- Instruct students utilizing lessons, discussions, audio-visual resources, and field trips.
Credentials:
- Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate (mandatory)
