Grade 5 Teacher

Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation School is on the lookout for a Grade 5 Teacher for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Qualified candidates must:

• Hold a valid teaching certification
• Have obtained a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certificate
• Follow the curriculum guidelines established by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education
• Commit to teaching for the full school year
• Be willing to engage students' families and community members in classroom activities
• Show respect and understanding for Canada's First Nations, incorporating First Nations culture, values, and history into the curriculum
• Maintain high standards for student achievement, especially in literacy and numeracy
• Demonstrate strong classroom management abilities, employing positive strategies for managing behavior
• Modify teaching approaches and curriculum as needed to support and include students with special needs.
