Se-Se-Wa-Hum School Grade 5 Teacher
Located in Big River First Nation, Se-Se-Wa-Hum School is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Grade 5 Teacher to join their team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement lesson plans across a variety of subjects
• Evaluate and assess students' comprehension and performance
• Maintain communication with students and parents regarding educational progress
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages education
• Create lesson plans and teaching strategies that are in line with school standards
• Conduct assessments to track student advancement and identify areas for improvement
• Establish an engaging classroom setting that caters to the needs of each student
• Design lesson plans and instructional resources that include diverse activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions
• Manage classroom behavior and activities effectively
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Proven classroom management skills
• Ability to teach a diverse range of student abilities
• Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Cross-cultural experience is an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Must provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Verification of previous teaching experience is required (if applicable)
