Grade 3 Teacher

Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, located in Big River First Nation, is seeking a passionate and motivated Grade 3 Teacher to join their team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing lesson plans that engage students across a variety of subjects
• Evaluating and grading student comprehension and performance related to the curriculum
• Communicating with students and parents regarding educational issues and inquiries
• Creating a supportive, inclusive, and secure environment that enhances learning
• Crafting lesson plans and teaching methods that meet school standards
• Administering evaluations to track student progress and identify areas needing improvement
• Nurturing an interactive learning space that caters to the individual needs of each student
• Planning and producing lesson plans and teaching materials through interactive activities like quizzes, competitions, and group discussions
• Supervising and directing classroom behavior and activities

Qualifications:
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Strong ability to manage classroom dynamics
• Bachelor of Education degree along with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Competence in classroom management
• Ability to instruct students with varying learning requirements
• Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Experience in cross-cultural settings is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Capability to present a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be able to confirm previous teaching experience, if applicable

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
