About This Role
Epsom College in Malaysia is looking for a passionate and energetic Chemistry Teacher to become part of our team. The successful candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for Chemistry and the capability to motivate students in Key Stage 3 Science, Edexcel IGCSE, and Edexcel International A-Level. Your role will involve delivering captivating and challenging lessons, assisting students in achieving their maximum potential, and enhancing the overall academic and extracurricular experience at the College.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality Chemistry lessons for students of various ages and skill levels in accordance with the learning scheme and course schedules.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic success.
- Prepare students for their IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry exams, ensuring they attain the best possible outcomes.
- Monitor students' academic development, offering regular feedback and assistance.
- Work alongside colleagues in the Science Department to innovate teaching resources and methodologies.
- Attend departmental meetings, participate in CPD sessions, and engage in school-wide events.
- Contribute to the school's co-curricular and pastoral programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is essential; a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 Science, IGCSE, and A-Level in an international or British curriculum school.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Chemistry and a dedication to student-focused education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team and actively engage in the school community.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and the integration of technology in the classroom.
