The individual selected will be instrumental in realizing the school’s ecological and sustainability goals while inspiring students to reach their academic potential. We are currently seeking a dedicated Teacher of Physics to become a part of our Science department in the Secondary School, which includes four Science teachers, a full-time lab technician, and four new, well-equipped laboratories.

We are in search of an experienced educator who possesses a deep passion for this essential subject area. The ideal candidate will be adept at teaching students across varying abilities and will have a demonstrated history of achieving exceptional student results. Enough For All, For Ever

The Arbor School, established in 2018, embodies a transformative vision of education—one that is experiential, authentic, and inspired by the natural beauty, human creativity, and significant ecological and social challenges of the Arabian Peninsula.

To cultivate a learning community that is dedicated to understanding and restoring the health of both ecological and human communities, we seek a balance of optimism, ambition, and humility. Our core belief in the inherent goodness of individuals and their capacity for empathy and compassion fuels the hope that is essential for fostering a sustainable future. The resilience required to confront challenges of a global scale is vital for developing sustainable solutions and implementing the social changes needed to expand them. The realization that we are all learners—never masters—drives our commitment to instill a lifelong passion for learning.

By acknowledging the interconnectedness of cognitive, affective, and participative domains and their influence on learning, we adopt a holistic approach to education designed to equip learners to:

• Grasp the interconnected concepts of sustainability, individual and collective well-being, and social and environmental justice;

• Discover purpose, meaning, and joy in their interactions with the natural world and with one another, while seeking to understand those who are different from themselves;

• Experience a sense of achievement and self-efficacy through their actions both at home, in school, and in the broader community.

THE ARBOR PROMISE
Teachers at Arbor are part of a vibrant, inclusive, and joyful community. They enjoy genuine friendships with colleagues, foster positive relationships with school leaders who prioritize their well-being, and function as a cohesive team. Arbor educators maintain resilience in the face of challenges, stability during changes, and creativity and flexibility when addressing problems.
