About This Role
The States of Guernsey are seeking a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and PSHE to join the team at St Anne's School in Alderney.
St Anne’s School is in search of an exceptional and experienced teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and PSHE to enhance our educational team.
Our federation includes the three island 11-16 High Schools, the Guernsey Grammar School & Sixth Form Centre (11-18), along with St Anne's School in Alderney, all operating under the guidance of the Director of Education.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for fostering students' achievements through innovative strategies that build on effective practices. They should demonstrate a high level of proficiency in teaching and learning. This role involves collaborating with a team dedicated to identifying, supporting, and creating personalized opportunities for students, while also delivering the new Bailiwick Curriculum, which encompasses various international and UK qualifications. We expect our staff to actively contribute to the school’s ethos, identity, and community life, engaging fully in the diverse enrichment activities offered. The selected individual will be dedicated to the growth and development of St Anne's School.
St. Anne's School stands out within the Bailiwick of Guernsey as a singular all-through institution, serving one island with one school. We provide education for children aged 3 to 16 and feature a Foundation 1 Class (Pre-school) for children starting at age 3, offering 15 hours of FREE provision (9.00-12.00) from Monday to Friday, which seamlessly transitions into our esteemed Reception Class. As a fully inclusive institution, we also accommodate students with Complex Needs, and the composition of our classes changes significantly from year to year.
