We are in search of a skilled and devoted Secondary PE Lead to join our thriving PE and Sports team.
We require an experienced Secondary PE Lead who possesses a deep passion for physical education and a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The ideal candidate will be adept at teaching students of varying abilities and will have a proven history of achieving exceptional student outcomes in both physical and academic realms. To enhance our sports program, we seek someone with specialized knowledge in athletics, netball, and cheerleading.

JOB SUMMARY
The selected candidate will be skilled and experienced in teaching Physical Education, a key aspect of our ecological and sustainability philosophy, helping students cultivate healthy, active lifestyles while fostering resilience, teamwork, and a strong connection to the environment.
We are eager to welcome an exceptional and enthusiastic Secondary PE Lead to our vibrant Physical Education department. The chosen candidate will be a proficient educator capable of delivering high-quality Core Physical Education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and will also exhibit strong leadership in Academic Physical Education. A significant aspect of this position involves the development and execution of our academic PE pathways, making experience in teaching and leading GCSE, BTEC, and A Level Physical Education essential.
Additionally, the role entails key leadership responsibilities within the department, including curriculum mapping, assessment design, and long-term planning to ensure a cohesive and progressive PE curriculum from Key Stage 3 through Post-16 education.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded PE teacher who can contribute to a comprehensive and ambitious school sports program. While versatility in various sports is crucial, particular strengths in football and basketball would be advantageous to support our competitive initiatives.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Native-level English language proficiency
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, accompanied by a PGCE in Education with QTS or an equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years of experience teaching physical education in the UK or at a reputable British school abroad
• A proven track record of outstanding teaching and the ability to create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.
