About This Role

About the School & Role
Trinity Private School, located in Limassol, is an accredited IB World School offering both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).

We are looking for a committed and well-organized Laboratory Technician / Science Teacher to enhance the delivery of practical science education in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The ideal candidate will ensure the laboratory operates safely and efficiently, providing well-equipped facilities while fostering inquiry-based learning in accordance with IB standards.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Preparation & Support
• Prepare and test equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical lessons (MYP & DP).
• Assist teachers and students during laboratory sessions, including IB Internal Assessments (IAs).
• Contribute to developing laboratory procedures in alignment with IB requirements.

Health & Safety
• Ensure the safe handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals.
• Maintain documentation for safety, conduct risk assessments, and keep MSDS records.
• Foster a strong safety culture within the Science Department.

Equipment & Resource Management
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment; arrange servicing as necessary.
• Oversee the procurement, inventory, and storage of laboratory supplies.
• Ensure laboratory spaces are well-organized and fully operational.

Teaching Support (if applicable)
• Deliver or co-teach certain MYP or DP science lessons as needed.
• Support inquiry-based and experimental learning initiatives.
• Participate in curriculum planning when relevant.

Requirements:
• Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• Prior laboratory experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• Proficiency in English.
• Valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
• Strong understanding of laboratory health and safety regulations.

Advantage:
• A teaching qualification or classroom experience.
• Familiarity with IB MYP and/or DP.

Skills:
• Proficiency in Greek language.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Professionalism and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Office, inventory systems, digital platforms).

Working Hours:
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation
