Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of Physics and Science to become part of our enthusiastic and dedicated team. The ideal candidate should possess a true passion for education, a commitment to the comprehensive development of students, and be a collaborative team member who aligns with the ethos, values, and objectives of our institution.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

· A recognized degree in Science from an accredited institution, along with a PGCE, QTS, or another internationally acknowledged teaching qualification.

· A minimum of three years of experience teaching Science at KS3 and Physics at KS4–5, with a successful track record in I/GCSE and A Level examination results.

· Demonstrate exemplary practice in the classroom, preferably verified externally.

· Possess a solid understanding of effective teaching methodologies, learning processes, and the strategic use of assessment to enhance student learning.

· Show evidence of the impact of teaching on the progress of various student groups and cohorts.

· Be willing to work with small groups, including those with SEND, to deliver targeted support and foster progress.

· Exhibit a commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative engagement with peers.

· Be proficient in Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications; experience with SIMS is a plus.

· Have a thorough understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection best practices, supported by recent training.

· Lead and/or participate in a variety of school-related extracurricular activities.

· Be a strong team player who supports the Catholic ethos, values, and goals of the school while being dedicated to the holistic education of students.

Key Responsibilities


· Provide pastoral, academic, and behavioral support to students.

· Keep precise records of student progress and engage in formal assessment processes.

· Assist parents with referrals to external agencies when necessary.

· Collaborate with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.

· Communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.

· Take part in and lead extracurricular activities.

Salary and Benefits:

· Competitive salary between CI$55,000 - CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Compensation

$67,073 - $83,536 per year (Competitive salary ranging from $55,000 - CI$68,500 Cayman Islands Dollars per annum, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications.)
