London Interviews:
The Principal and the Recruitment Team will be visiting London in March/April to conduct in-person interviews.
This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with senior leadership directly and discover more about our school and community.
Key Responsibilities
•
Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning.
•
Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that values individual strengths and diverse learning styles.
•
Differentiate instructional strategies to cater to the varied needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted students, and those needing additional support.
•
Utilize technology and innovative methodologies to enrich student learning experiences and engagement.
•
Effectively assess, document, and communicate student progress, leveraging data to guide teaching and tailor support.
•
Collaborate with peers to create and enhance IB-aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
•
Participate in the broader school community through co-curricular activities, events, and initiatives.
•
Foster positive relationships with parents and the wider community to encourage student growth and wellbeing.
•
Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice to improve teaching effectiveness.
•
Embody the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all facets of school life.
The ideal candidate will possess:
•
A recognized professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent in their subject area.
•
At least 3 years of solid and demonstrable teaching experience, preferably within an IB Curriculum School (though not essential).
•
OR have significant A-Level teaching experience (highly regarded for Secondary positions).
•
A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry-driven teaching approaches.
•
