CHS South, an 11–16, eight-form entry, mixed comprehensive school, was established in 2018 alongside Chorlton High School. Our cutting-edge building, which opened in September 2021, accommodates 1200 students. In our inaugural Ofsted inspection in January 2023, we received a rating of Good across all areas.

The Role

The successful candidate will fulfill the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as detailed in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. They will meet the Professional Standards for Teachers relevant to their career stage and will exercise professional judgment in their collaborative duties.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement in Computing and Business, enabling all students to progress effectively and reach their full potential. The post holder will report to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leaders, and ultimately to the Headteacher.

Key Responsibilities

- Promote the academic progress, wellbeing, and positive behavior of every student
- Plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons in Computing and Business
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious Computing and Business curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, implementing timely interventions
- Collaborate with the Computing and Business team to support the school’s vision
- Reflect on and enhance practice through professional development and shared expertise
- Support curriculum development, examinations, and school improvement priorities
- Participate in meetings, duties, and enrichment activities as needed
- Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and external partners

CHS South

CHS South is an 11-16 eight-form entry, mixed comprehensive school that opened in partnership with Chorlton High School in 2018. Our school has a full capacity of 1200 students in our state-of-the-art building which opened in September 2021.

We are dedicated to providing an education built on the values of equipping every young person with the skills necessary for a creative, happy, and successful future. Our students have access to a broad and progressive enrichment curriculum. We maintain excellent relationships with a variety of sports providers in our community to offer a diverse and engaging sports curriculum.
