Him Lam International School Bac Ninh is on the lookout for a Homeroom teacher who has a strong track record in teaching Primary School students, especially in English as a Second/Additional Language. This role involves delivering core subjects as part of the Cambridge International curriculum.

I. Responsibilities
- Design, organize, and implement English-language instruction that aligns with the Cambridge curriculum and school standards, accommodating diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs of students.
- Develop and execute lesson plans that utilize a variety of effective teaching strategies tailored to promote individual student success.
- Address all aspects of communication through appropriate instruction that enhances each student’s knowledge and skills in their respective grade levels and subjects.
- Conduct academic assessments to monitor student progress towards achieving learning goals and knowledge acquisition, providing necessary written and oral progress updates to relevant parties.
- Oversee and support student wellbeing as both a subject and homeroom teacher, encouraging their personal and social development.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to ensure a structured and productive classroom environment.
- Stay attuned to the needs of students for whom English is an additional language.
- Modify lesson plans to ensure suitable differentiation for students with additional needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share innovative ideas, methods, and professional insights.
- Regularly engage with SEN and EAL teams to ensure a holistic approach to students at various developmental stages.
- Monitor student attendance in lessons and follow up on their engagement and the quality of classwork, homework, and other assignments.
- Keep precise records and submit lesson plans for approval to the Head of International Programme, under the direction of the School Director.
- Maintain professional and clear communication with parents, keeping them updated on their children's progress and status. Ensure parent communication platforms are updated according to the guidelines established at the beginning of the academic year, adding additional information upon request.
- Participate in curriculum development, homeroom activities, extracurricular programs, and other educational initiatives.
- Engage in school events such as Open Day, Admissions Day, After School Activities, PD training, or Parent-Teacher Conferences.
- Supervise assigned out-of-classroom activities during school hours as required.
- Cultivate positive relationships and communication with fellow staff members.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources, materials, and equipment.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of the International Programme, who serves as the direct line manager, or the School Director.
II. Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Primary/Elementary Education.
- Valid teaching certificate/license in relevant subjects.
- Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a comparable role within an international or bilingual school setting.
- Previous experience with Apply via the WhatSchool platform.
