ABC Private School in Abu Dhabi is a well-regarded and oversubscribed ENC School. We are seeking Primary teachers to join our existing Primary team for the upcoming academic year to accommodate an extraordinary influx of admissions.

For the 2024/25 academic year, each year group within our Primary section will typically consist of seven classes, as we expand our capacity to serve up to 2600 students from FS1 to Y13, representing over 16 nationalities.

ABC relocated to its current premises in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi in 2016. The owners are dedicated to a continuous investment and school improvement program aimed at achieving BSO accreditation within the next twelve months, enabling us to offer ECT Statutory Induction in subsequent years. The school features excellent facilities and is well-equipped.

The Principal, Mrs. Allison McDonald, recently joined ABC from Al Basma British School, where she successfully elevated the institution from satisfactory to very good with numerous outstanding features during her nine-year tenure. As a seasoned Principal within the UAE, she emphasizes a holistic approach to education, focusing on nurturing each student's talents, sparking their curiosity, and fostering a love for learning. Mrs. McDonald fully supports ABC's commitment to inclusivity and creating a nurturing environment that empowers students to explore, innovate, and thrive.

ABC adheres to the 2014 National Curriculum of England and the updated 2020 Development Matters Framework in EYFS. We utilize both GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Year 4 to Year 10. Additionally, we offer a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel exam boards for our older students. Starting in September 2024, we plan to introduce a selection of BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways for our students.

Most recently, in February 2022, the school received a "good" rating in the ADEK inspection.

- An Internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Education specializing in Primary with QTS or an equivalent qualification.

- An Internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any field along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification, such as PGCE or PGDE in Primary or Early Years education with QTS or an equivalent qualification.

or

- An Internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree focused on an area of Primary Education with QTS or an equivalent qualification.

Our compensation package for overseas UK qualified positions includes:
