ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School Alicante is seeking an enthusiastic and vibrant English Teacher to become part of our middle school faculty. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional English instruction to KS3 students, promoting strong literacy skills, creativity, and confidence in a supportive, high-achieving international school environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Create and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3, ensuring significant progress for all students.
•
Employ effective assessment strategies to gauge student outcomes and guide future learning steps.
•
Utilize approaches based on Pie Corbett’s Talk for Writing framework as needed.
•
Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including those for whom English is an additional language.
•
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support the comprehensive development of each pupil.
•
Engage in enrichment activities, extracurricular programs, and contribute to the wider school community.
•
Participate actively in professional development and reflective practices.
•
Integrate educational technologies, such as AI, VR, and digital learning tools, to enhance teaching methodologies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Proven experience in teaching English to middle school / KS3 students, with a record of significant impact.
•
A creative, student-centered approach grounded in Quality First Teaching principles.
•
A thorough understanding of KS3 learning requirements and familiarity with Talk for Writing strategies.
•
Fluency in English with exceptional spoken, written, and technical communication skills.
•
A strong dedication to pastoral care and the holistic development of students.
•
A collaborative, positive, and proactive attitude, fully engaging in team and school activities.
•
The ability to effectively adjust teaching strategies to support EAL learners.
•
A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative learning with peers.
