Job Overview

The Kindergarten & Primary School Principal will take charge of the academic, pastoral, and operational leadership of the Early Years and Primary divisions.

This position reports to the Head of Schools, who will provide strategic direction, professional mentoring, and ongoing support to ensure alignment across campuses and adherence to the school’s academic goals and long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the provision of high-quality teaching and learning, curriculum delivery, and assessment practices.
  • Mentoring, developing, and supporting educators through coaching and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students.
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with parents and facilitating effective communication and engagement.
  • Collaborating closely with the Admissions team to promote sustainable school growth through strong academic positioning, actively engaging with prospective families, and upholding a positive school reputation.
  • Overseeing accreditation processes, including WASC, in collaboration with senior leadership and relevant committees.
  • Working alongside senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s vision, values, and long-term goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Master’s Degree in Education or a related field (essential).
  • A recognized teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience as a Principal, Deputy Principal, or in a comparable senior leadership role, preferably within an international school setting.
  • A solid understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience with or exposure to Singaporean curriculum approaches is advantageous.
  • NPQH or an equivalent leadership qualification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • A strong commitment to upholding high academic standards within a holistic, child-centered learning environment.

Remuneration

A competitive salary package will be offered, reflecting qualifications and experience, including a housing allowance and a return air ticket upon completion of the contract.
