About This Role

The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is a highly esteemed non-profit, co-educational institution in the Middle East, serving students aged 3-18 across seven campuses and providing exceptional education to the expatriate community since 1979. The school holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is recognized as a British School Overseas (BSO). BISR is a proud member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO), the Heads Conference (HMC), and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). It follows the English curriculum, enriched by both local and international influences. The learning environment is holistic, supported by a diverse enrichment program that includes extracurricular activities, student leadership opportunities, service learning, and residential trips, all underpinned by robust pastoral care to promote student well-being.

“Al Hamra re: imagined” is an initiative aimed at revitalizing the current Al Hamra campus.

In collaboration with world-renowned educational architects Education Design International (EDI), Al Hamra is set to become an outstanding campus that will enhance our existing facilities in Riyadh. The refurbishment, scheduled for completion during the 2025-2026 academic year, will limit student enrollments to approximately 450-500 from FS1 to Year 9, with two classes in most year groups. Upon completion, the school is projected to accommodate around 1200 students (four form entry) and will offer diverse educational pathways, including BTECs, traditional A Levels, and GCSEs.

We are in search of exceptional teachers and support staff who are dedicated to making Al Hamra a tremendous success. Ideal candidates will exhibit a strong commitment to our REACH values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Challenge, and Happiness) and a readiness to go above and beyond to ensure that our community feels welcomed, challenged, and successful. In exchange, we provide the opportunity to work with wonderful students in outstanding working conditions, competitive salaries and benefits, promising career advancement, professional development, and the chance to be a key player in this exciting project.

We encourage applications from qualified and experienced individuals, including couples and families.
