Position Overview
The One World International School is seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to deliver instruction in Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies, Cambridge IGCSE Economics, and Lower Secondary Humanities.
The successful applicant will lead classes in Business Studies and Economics at the IGCSE level, in addition to providing Humanities education within the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum. This position requires a deep understanding of the subjects, effective teaching methodologies, and the ability to assist students in developing analytical skills, alongside a practical comprehension of business, economics, and global issues.
At TOWIS, educators are expected to design engaging lessons, closely track student progress, and leverage academic data to refine their teaching practices. Furthermore, the chosen candidate will actively contribute to the overall school community.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies
• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Economics
• Teach Lower Secondary Humanities as part of the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme
• Create engaging and structured lessons that adhere to Cambridge curriculum guidelines
• Utilize assessments and academic data to inform instructional strategies and support student growth
• Prepare students effectively for IGCSE examinations
• Consistently assess student submissions and offer constructive feedback to encourage improvement
• Cultivate a positive and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with fellow staff and contribute to the school’s development
• Participate actively in the wider school community
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field
• A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent preferred)
• Proven experience teaching IGCSE Business Studies and IGCSE Economics
• Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is a plus
• Experience teaching Humanities at the lower secondary level
• Ability to use assessment and academic data to guide planning and monitor student progress
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities
