About This Role
Coruña British International School is a distinguished British international institution, recognized as the first in the city to achieve accreditation from NABSS (National Association for British Schools in Spain). Our curriculum has been fully endorsed by both the Galician Government and the British Council, positioning us, alongside our sister school in Vigo, as one of the premier British schools in Galicia. Founded over eight years ago, our innovative school embodies strong family values and has delivered the English National Curriculum to numerous students, adapting to the evolving needs of modern learners. Our students, aged three to 14, experience the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum.

We are in search of a passionate and energetic History and English ESL Secondary Teacher:
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in History, English, Linguistics, Education, or a related area.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognized teaching qualification is essential.
- Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level, ideally within a British or international school context.
- Experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EAL) to students with a range of proficiency levels.
- A solid understanding of UK curriculum standards, including KS3–KS4 History and EAL frameworks.
- Ability to create and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that foster both subject mastery and language acquisition.
- Confidence in adapting materials and supporting learning for students with diverse English language abilities.
- Experience in using assessment for learning, tracking student progress, and preparing reports for families.
- Strong classroom management skills and the capability to cultivate a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
