About This Role

HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT (Speech, Language + Communication)

GRADE 9 Pt 18 - Pt 23: FTE

35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days

The Derby High School, located in Bury, Greater Manchester, is inviting applications for the position of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Speech, Language and Communication). We seek a dedicated individual with the relevant qualifications, skills, and experience who is passionate about enhancing the Speech, Language and Communication outcomes for our students. This exciting new role will involve working under the guidance of the Assistant Headteacher – SEND, allowing the successful candidate to make a meaningful impact on student success at The Derby High School.

- Experience working with students who face speech, language, and communication-related barriers to learning.
- Experience in a school setting (preferably in Primary or Secondary education).

We have a particular interest in candidates who have experience facilitating interventions for Speech, Language, and Communication.

- Ability to collaborate with parents and caregivers to offer guidance on speech, language, and communication strategies.
