JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
* Possession of a valid Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or eligibility to secure certification in the Province of Manitoba.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching in a middle years setting.
* Knowledge of the K-8 Manitoba Curriculum along with skills in cross-curricular planning.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a supportive and consultative manner.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to functioning effectively as part of an educational team.
* Outstanding classroom management skills.
* Capability to design a program that integrates a northern perspective.
* Understanding and sensitivity to the traditions and aspirations of students from various abilities and backgrounds.
* Commitment to culturally responsive educational practices.
