Class Teacher - Lower School (Year 7 & 8)

We are seeking an experienced Class Teacher with a strong background in special school primary or early years education to join our team.

Essential requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong experience teaching in a special school primary or early years setting
• Experience working with pupils with Down's syndrome
• Confident and experienced in delivering personal care
• Proficient in using Makaton to support communication
• Ability to design and deliver a topic-based, primary-style curriculum
• Understanding of the needs of pupils with complex special educational needs
• Experience working with pupils with additional needs including autism
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Grade A-C or Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics
