About This Role
FTE: Full-time
Term of Employment: Temporary until June 26, 2026 (with potential for extension or transition to a permanent position)
Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the provincial salary grid (www.stf.sk.ca) along with a benefits package that features subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Relocation assistance may also be available.
Qualifications:
- Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher’s Certificate (or proof of eligibility)
- Knowledge and experience in implementing best practices in instruction, curriculum, environment, and assessment
- Understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
- Proven ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently
Preferred Candidates will possess:
- Experience and familiarity with Northern issues
- At least five years of successful teaching experience
- A minimum of five years of successful administrative experience at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels
- Graduate-level education in school administration
- Strong skills in instructional leadership, organization, interpersonal relations, and communication
- A deep commitment to the schools plus/community schools and the safe schools concept
